About me
After graduating with a degree in Multi Media Journalism my first job out of university was sub editor on Wine & Spirit International magazine, a role that took me to vineyards, breweries and press trips across the world, sparking my love of travel.
Roles as managing editor, commissioning editor and editor followed on lifestyle magazines and websites in London, Sydney and Amsterdam, working at major publishing houses including IPC Media, EMAP, Bauer, Dennis, National Magazine Company and BBC Worldwide.
I worked as a digital content editor for one of Time Out's first ever digital platforms, managing a team of 10 writers across 10 US cities writing digital destination guides.
Working as a senior account director for an events agency, I delivered large scale corporate events across the world encompassing on-site delivery, planning and logistics, client and account management, venue sourcing, supplier and contract negotiation and guest experience.
I love taking solo trips to far flung places where I can immerse myself in the sights and sounds of other cultures. I’m always looking for a story, am naturally drawn to people, know how to ask the right questions and will never say never to an opportunity (within reason).
When I’m not writing about travel I’m working as a luxury travel planner booking client’s trips all over the world. In 2025 I Iaunched a luxury retreat business with retreats planned in Austria, Sri Lanka and Cornwall this year.
